2nd man dies after being found with gunshot wound in Florida Mall parking lot
ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The Orange County Sheriff's Office says the second man in a double-homicide died Saturday.
Detectives say Samuel Destin, 19, died one day after he and another man were found shot in the Florida Mall parking lot.
On Friday, deputies responded to the JCPenney parking lot at the Florida Mall after someone called 911 reporting a man with a gunshot wound.
There, they found Destin and a second man, Andrew Garland, 20.
Deputies say Garland was found next to a nearby car in the same parking lot.
Garland was pronounced dead, Friday, shortly after arriving at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Destin was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but died Saturday.
Orange County homicide detectives say they do not believe the shooting was a random act.
They're looking into whether there's a connection between the two men.
At this point, it's unclear exactly where the incident began.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have seen Friday's shooting to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
