Volusia Sheriff Chitwood reacts to SRO attack sentencing
Nearly a year ago, Jorge Rivera and his wife, Dagmarie Aponte, were at Deltona Middle School for a meeting about their son. Their son was reportedly accused of shoving a girl at the school, which prompted the meeting, officials said. During that meeting, Rivera allegedly became irate with the school official and was asked to leave. Now, Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood told Good Day Orlando he's frustrated Rivera got sentenced to 45 days in jail and allegedly the judge said the SRO was really responsible for what occurred, Chitwood said.

Flights will remain reduced at 6% at Orlando International Airport, but they won't increase to 10% on Friday, as was previously planned, the FAA confirmed. Meet Gene Croyle, a 100-year-old World War II veteran
Sydney Eugene "Gene" Croyle, 100, lives in Lake Mary, Florida. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy when he was 17, leaving his home in Kansas for ventures around the world. Instead of a dog tag, they gave him a "puppy" tag, he said. He trained in Morse Code and radar, riding in Patrol Bombers in Southeast Asia, working to keep his pilot and crew safe and in constant communication. He rose to the rank of Aviation Radioman Third Class, he said. FOX 35's Stephanie Rivas tells Gene's story.
