Monday afternoon, Johnny Noviello, a Canadian national, died in ICE custody at the Federal Detention Center in downtown Miami while awaiting his deportation. Claire Healy, Esserman Investigative Fellow with the Miami Herald joins FOX 35's Garrett Wymer to break down her conversations with Noviello's family and attorney. ICE confirmed Noviello came to the United States legally in 1988 and got his green card in 1991 before being arrested with his father in 2017 for selling opioids out of a used car shop in Daytona Beach. Noviello is the ninth person to die in ICE custody this year, the fourth in a Florida immigration detention facility.
