Malicious Video Games Used in $220K Crypto Theft Scheme
A 21-year-old North Lauderdale man, Zyaire Wilkins, faces up to a decade in prison after federal authorities linked him to a $220,000 cryptocurrency theft scheme. Authorities say Wilkins and his co-conspirators used fake video games to infect over 8,000 devices and drain roughly 80 crypto wallets. Matt Rose, CXO of Tech Rage IT, joined FOX 35's Garrett Wymer live over Zoom to break down how this could happen, and how to defend yourself against similar attacks.
