Gov. Ron DeSantis gave his final state of the state address during a joint session Tuesday morning, where he highlighted several of Florida's accomplishments over the course of the last seven years. 2026 marks the Florida governor's final year in office, and the race for his seat heats up as Lt. Governor Jay Collins announces his plans to run. Meanwhile, the first day of the 2026 Florida legislative session kicks off, set to continue for 60 days.
