Deputy dead, others injured after shooting in Vero Beach

An Indian River County deputy was killed while trying to serve an eviction notice in Vero Beach Friday morning. Gunfire erupted on the scene, leading to two officers, the suspect, and a locksmith on the scene to suffer gunshot wounds. Both the suspect and locksmith are in critical condition. Terri Mashcow, a 25-year veteran with the Sheriff's Office, passed away from her injuries.
