Vigil held for Edgewater Police Officer David Jewell

Several people gathered Wednesday night outside the Edgewater Police Department to remember Officer David Jewell. Jewell, who was off duty, was shot and killed inside a Circle K in Ormond-by-the-Sea, earlier this week. Officials described the attack as unprovoked, calculated, and evil. The suspect shot Jewell at point-blank range, firing 24 bullets in less than 2 minutes, Sheriff Mike Chitwood said.
