Officials: Plane crash in New Smyrna Beach; 2 hurt
A small plane has crashed near New Smyrna Beach Municipal Airport, officials said. A spokesperson for New Smyrna Beach confirmed to FOX 35 that the crash happened around 10:30 a.m. in the area of South Street and Clarendon Avenue, just outside the airport. Two people were aboard the plane. Both were transported to the hospital with serious injuries, though they were not considered to be life-threatening, the official said.
