Orlando launches bus-based shelters to combat homelessness

The City of Orlando has launched a new initiative to address the local housing crisis by converting two buses into emergency shelters. The 45-foot buses, retrofitted with 42 beds, bathrooms, storage, and private security, aim to provide a safe place for people experiencing homelessness. City officials said the program will also offer wraparound services to help guests access permanent housing.
