Former Ormond Beach police officer to be sentenced

Former Ormond Beach police officer Jacob Cannon will be sentenced on Tuesday morning. He pleaded no contest to felony battery after video caught him violently slamming a handcuffed woman to the floor during an arrest. He has since resigned. His sentencing is scheduled for 8 a.m.
