Pinellas Co. to Rays owner: 'build or sell the team'
FOX 13 WTVT reporter Evan Axelbank joins FOX 35's Garrett Wymer to break down the latest in the Tampa Bay Rays stadium saga. Last night, Pinellas County Commissioners voted 5-2 to approve $312.5 million in bonds for the new stadium, but the drama is far from over. Pinellas County Commissioner Chris Latvala, who started this saga outspoken against the new stadium deal, voted to approve the bonds, and referenced his conversations with MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred. Latvala says he doesn't trust Rays owner Stu Sternberg, and says it's now on him and the Rays to build the new stadium or sell the team to someone committed to staying in the Tampa Bay area.
