2 students arrested after loaded gun found in backpack: Police

Two students at Boone High School were arrested Friday morning after a loaded gun was found in a student's backpack, Orlando police said. The girl said her boyfriend put something in her backpack, but she wasn't sure what it was. Both students were charged with possession of a firearm on a school campus. It comes amid a wave of social media threats towards Central Florida and in wake of the deadly school shooting at Apalachee High School in Georgia.
