Distracted driver strikes, kills Deltona woman, injures her brother

A woman was killed and a man injured after an alleged distracted driver left the roadway, drove onto the side walk, and hit them. The two were out taking the walk for a dog, deputies said. Clarification: Later, VSO clarified that the man and woman were brother and sister and not husband and wife, as they initially reported.
