Tracking the Tropics: Hurricane Earl forms in Atlantic, expected to strengthen

Hurricane Earl formed early Tuesday evening, becoming the second hurricane of the Atlantic season. The center of the storm was located about 550 south of Bermuda with maximum sustained winds of 80 mph.
