Man dies after being shot in Orange County neighborhood, deputies say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - A man in his 20s died after a shooting in an Orange County neighborhood early Thursday, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the area of Piedmont Street and Campanella Avenue at around 2:50 a.m. after reports of an unresponsive man.

When deputies arrived, they found a man in his 20s who had been shot.

The man was taken to a hospital where he died, according to deputies.

The sheriff’s office said the investigation is still in the "early stages."

Part of Piedmont Street was blocked off with police tape as deputies conducted the death investigation.
