Teen dies after being shot in Orange County neighborhood, deputies say
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - A 17-year-old boy died after a shooting in an Orange County neighborhood early Thursday, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the area of Piedmont Street and Campanella Avenue at around 2:50 a.m. after reports of an unresponsive male in the street.

When deputies arrived, they found a person who had been shot.
Initially, deputies said the person was a man in his 20s. On Friday, the sheriff's office identified the person as 17-year-old Quincy Demond Ross Jr.
He was taken to a hospital where he died, according to deputies.

The sheriff’s office said the investigation is still in the "early stages."
