74-year-old man killed in Florida crash after running red light: troopers
SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. - Florida troopers said a 74-year-old man was killed in a crash Wednesday night after running a red light.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash took place around 9:23 p.m. off Red Bug Lake Road and State Road 417 in the Seminole County area.
The other driver, a 19-year-old girl, only suffered minor injuries, a crash report shows.

According to a crash report from the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2013 Chevy Equinox was traveling westbound on Red Bug Lake Road, approaching the intersection of S.R. 417, and a 2015 Acura MDX was traveling southbound on the S.R. 417 exit ramp to Red Bug Lake Road.
Troopers reported the driver of the Acura began making a left turn to travel eastbound on Red Bug Lake Road.
A witness said the driver of the Chevy ran a red light and entered into the path of the Acura, officials stated. The crash report shows the front of the Chevy hit the left side of the Acura.
Authorities reported the driver of the Chevy, the 74-year-old man, died after being transported to Oviedo Medical Center.

Troopers said the crash currently remains under investigation.
