ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - A bicyclist is dead after being struck by a car in Pine Hills early Sunday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Around 1:00 a.m., a Kia K5 was traveling southbound on Powers Drive, troopers said. The bicyclist, a 71-year-old Orlando man, was also traveling in the southbound lane before he may have fallen off his bicycle, according to FHP.
Investigators believe the man was lying in the roadway before the car hit him, a crash report states.
The man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to FHP.
This crash remains under investigation.
