Florida student to compete in National Civics Bee

An Osceola middle schooler, Araoluwakiitan Afolabi, won the state competition and will be representing the state of Florida at the National Civics Bee in Washington, DC. The Civics Bee is an annual, nonpartisan competition for middle school students in grades 6 through 8 designed to improve civics literacy and encourage community engagement.  The first phase of this competition is an essay and that submission window is opened for next year already.
