Man shot, killed by friend in Winter Garden, police say
WINTER GARDEN, Fla. - A man was shot and killed by his friend in Winter Garden on Friday, authorities said.
The Winter Garden Police Department identified the victim as 32-year-old Carlos Perez. At around 1:30 a.m., police found him on the ground of Azalea Way, dead from a gunshot wound.
A man is dead following an overnight shooting on Azalea Way in Winter Garden, police said.
Savion Lambert, the 21-year-old suspect, was taken into custody on scene after a brief standoff with law enforcement.
Police believe Perez and Lambert were friends with one another, though a motive for the shooting remains unknown.
Savion Lambert is being charged with second-degree homicide and destruction of evidence.

Officers said Lambert tried to conceal evidence of the shooting. The gun that was used was located nearby by officers.
Lambert is being charged with second-degree homicide and destruction of evidence.
