Carly Caggiano is graduating from Winter Springs High School. She's going to to pursue law. She is a dual enrollment student. She's already earned her associate's degree. Carly had enough credits to graduate last through, but stayed for her senior year to be president of the chorus. Carly, great job. Congratulations from all of us.

This is Ava Grace. She is graduating from Winter Springs High School. She's on the tennis team. She competes with her partner for district competitions. She also participates in the Renewable Energy Honor Society and is a member of the Interact Club.

Emily Torres will graduate from Seminole High School and will begin training in the Air Force ROTC at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Arizona on a full scholarship. She will graduate with a 3.8 GPA and has earned the national title of the 2024 Outstanding Cadet for the Military Officers Association.

Congratulations to FOX 35 Stellar Senior Carlos Alvarado Cordero. He will graduate from Gateway High School and will take classes at Osceola Technical College in the fall. He starred in the last two spring plays. His teachers describe him as kind and respectful. He hopes to follow in the footsteps of Lin-Manuel Miranda, who famously wrote and produced "In The Heights" and "Hamilton."

Group of Colombian Nationals arrested for theft at music festival

A group of 8 Colombian Nationals were arrested over the weekend for theft at music festival Welcome to Rockville. Sheriff Mike Chitwood says over 70 phones, credit cards and other personal items were stolen by the group during the four day festival. They are currently being held in the Volusia County jail.

Local middle school student competes on Master Chef Junior

Local New Smyrna middle schooler, Michael Seegobin, talks about his experience on popular cooking show Master Chef Junior. The show hosted by celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsey invites 12 young cooks to the kitchen to compete for title. Currently Michael is heading straight to the finals after blowing the judges away with his last dish.
