Massive winter storm threatens millions

A massive winter storm sweeping across the United States is threatening more than 200 million people with snow, ice and dangerously cold temperatures from Texas to Maine, forecasters said. The storm, driven by a plunging polar vortex, is expected to bring a mix of heavy snow, sleet and freezing rain across a more than 2,000-mile stretch of the country.
