A Florida man, David Micale, was arrested after a man, appearing to be drunk near a DeLand Walmart, left his dogs in a car. Both dogs later died from heat stroke, deputies said. 

30 middle school students were reportedly playing the game "frogger," while riding e-bikes, as they tore up the front lawn at Flagler County park, deputies say. The teens also hopped onto a building roof from the drinking fountain and broke a changing table. The sheriff's office encourages parents to know what their kids are up to. 

"All I could do was just scream." Nicole Herndon said she felt as if every inch of her body was on fire after she came into contact with a tussock caterpillar at her Mims home. Now, Herndon is cautioning people to stay aware and stay away from the caterpillars. 

In Indialantic, Florida, the city is discussing whether to get rid of its police call center and move dispatchers to the sheriff's office. The police and fire dispatch costs the city around $500,000 per year. This discussion comes after legislators in Tallahassee are arguing to get rid of property taxes. 

A South Florida man, Alexis Martínez-Arizala, was arrested after authorities accuse him a false reporting, after he allegedly told a Seminole County deputy that people were in his squad car, when the video was artificially created. Arizala is being extradited from Puerto Rico where he was arrested.

Two men were hurt in a shooting that took place near the University of Central Florida on April 8. Deputies reported that the men were transported to the hospital, but have not disclosed whether an arrest has been made in connection to this incident. 

Amid the fast 40 mile per hour wind and 14 foot waves, two sailboats were found washed on the shore of New Smyrna Beach. A couple in the boat, who called 911, are expected to be Ok.
