Thousands without power across Florida after Hurricane Dorian skirts up the coast
ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Thousands of Central Florida residents lost power after Hurricane Dorian skirted up Florida east coast on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning as a Category 2 storm, but it appears that they are getting it back just hours later.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Brevard County seems to have suffered the most outages with about 1,900 customers in the dark as of 5:15 a.m. Florida Power & Light (FPL) says that's down from 3,200 reported in the county two hours earlier.

About 1,500 FPL customers in Volusia County lost power along with about 200 Duke Energy customers. On Tuesday night, it was reported that 3,200 customers from both providers had outages.
Inland counties like Orange and Osceola took less of a hit. There were about 450 Duke Energy customers without power in Orange County and one in Osceola. Orlando Utilities Commission reports that they have brought power back to all its customers in Orlando and St. Cloud.
FPL and Kissimmee Utility Authority reported no outages for their customers in Orange or Osceola counties.
In St. Johns County, Dorian knocked out power to 3,600 customers and 1,700 in Duval, according to the Florida Department of Emergency Management.
