Man electrocuted at site of HGTV Dream Home ID'd

MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The Brevard County Sheriff's Office has identified the man who died from what investigators are calling an accidental death, due to electrocution.   James Sands, 37, of Melbourne, died on Monday afternoon at  a home construction site on Utopia Circle in Merritt Island.  The home where the incident occurred is the site of the 2016 HGTV Dream Home, which is currently under renovation, according to the Sheriff's Office.  

Witnesses said Sands was on the dock doing some electrical work and fell into the Indian River Lagoon.  Workers pulled Sands out of the water and administered CPR in an attempt to revive him.  The first responders continued the CPR as he was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
