Movie theater allows dogs and offers bottomless wine

We all wish we could bring our dogs everywhere, and why shouldn't we? That's why a movie theater in Texas is allowing people to bring their furry best friends to enjoy their favorite flick together.

K9 Cinemas in Plano provides a place for dog lovers to watch their favorite movies with their canine companions, and if for some reason you’re still not sold, your ticket comes with all the wine you can drink.

The theater is as dog friendly as it gets with comfy sofas to lounge on and even delicious treats for your dog so you don't have to share your popcorn.

Tickets are $5 for dogs, $9 for kids and $12.50 for adults, but there are a few rules: You have to clean up after your pet and you must bring papers proving that they are up to date on all their shots.

K9 Cinemas founder, Eric Lankford, left the pharmaceutical world to open up the pup friendly theater in 2018.

“I wanted to do something that made me happy for once instead of just chasing money and create something that made myself and others happy,” said Lankford.

The theater does not show any new film releases, but there are themed nights like “karaoke margarita night” and “bring your dog to church night.”
