Man found guilty of tossing puppy from vehicle
PALATKA, Fla. (AP) - A north Florida man faces up to five years in prison for punching and tossing a puppy out of the window of his vehicle. Putnam County jurors deliberated for 15 minutes on Tuesday before convicting 42-year-old Michael Dalton of animal cruelty. He will be sentenced next month.
Witnesses say Dalton punched the puppy several times in the head and then threw the puppy by the nape of the neck out the window. The puppy ran into some nearby woods where it died.
