Parents of teen beaten to death file lawsuit

WINTER PARK, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - It has been exactly two years since Winter Park teenager Roger Trindade lost his life, after a fatal beating in Central Park.  Now, the family is suing multiple people and entities, in their fight for justice.

Trindade's parents are filing a lawsuit, saying the death of the teen was preventable and never should have happened. 

The civil suit names the City of Winter Park, Orange County Public Schools, and the parents of the teens involved in the fight that killed him. They are seeking unspecified financial damages.
     
Two teens, Simeon Hall and Jesse Sutherland, were convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to a few months in juvenile correction facilities.  Another teen pleaded "no contest" to lesser charges in juvenile court.
