Construction worker death on Interstate 4

EATONVILLE, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed that one construction worker is dead.  Troopers say the crashed happened around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, in the midst of the I-4 Ultimate Project on the shoulder of the highway that runs parallel with Wymore Road through Eatonville. 

Troopers say their preliminary investigation is showing that a full dump truck pulled into the work area on the shoulder and a worker walked behind the dump truck while it was stopped, that the dump truck began to back up and hit the worker and then ran him over.  Investigators identified the victim as 34-year-old Marvin Franklin, of Orlando.  He was pronounced deceased on scene.  Right now, SGL Constructors say they have secured and shut down the entire 21-mile jobsite.
