Suspect wanted in murder of 82-year-old woman killed by deputies

Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings addressed the media Friday night after a deputy-involved shooting in Orlando left one man dead.

Demings said deputies came in contact with 38-year-old James Bauduy. They say Bauduy shot and killed an 82-year-old Elfriede Assendorf in Windermere Thursday morning.

Then the next day, Bauduy carjacked the Assendorf's daughter, who also happens to be the ex-girlfriend of Bauduy, deputies said.

Demings said when they spotted Bauduy, he was armed and approached them in a suspicious manner, forcing them to shoot him.

No deputies were hurt.
