ACCOUNTANT  – (Regular Full Time / Orlando): Monthly forecasting, General ledger posting including journal entries, account and bank reconciliation. Assist with the month end closing. Maintain fixed asset and film and amortization schedules, review and monitor expenses of capital projects. Complete daily revenue reports. Back up to log coordinator. Prepare monthly and quarterly corporate reports: Including Base Rate, Sports, Advertiser Categories and Key Programs & Dayparts. Participate in budget preparation and special projects as assigned. Computer literate, expert level skills with MS Excel along with working knowledge of MS Word. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail is essential. College degree in accounting required. A minimum of three years general accounting experience and broadcast experience preferred. Knowledge of enterprise level revenue & financial systems is required. JDEdwards/Peoplesoft, Hyperion and Wide Orbit broadcast traffic systems experience preferred. Background check required. 


IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN   – (Regular Full Time / Orlando): Assist Fox Television Stations personnel with technical support of desktop computers and applications/related technologies, including the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop/laptop computers, mobile devices and peripheral technology. Ensure systems interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems and Active Directory resources. Back up station's IT Manager and assist with maintaining station's servers and network. Provide technical support for file servers on the primary Active Directory domain. Recommend and perform hardware and software upgrades on systems to ensure security, reliability, performance and longevity. Ensure system configurations and operations are in compliance with company policies and procedures. Maintain hardware/software inventories for all IT managed technologies. Work with support vendors to troubleshoot technical problems on PCs, servers and software. Assist with the creation and maintenance of technical documents used for planning and support of local servers and networks. Deploy new or upgraded technologies as defined in approved projects. Assist in information gathering associated with asset management and IT initiatives on an as-needed basis. BS/BA in Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 5+ years supporting Windows PCs, Servers, 3+ years supporting a user based >75 people, 2+ years basic IP networking. Familiarity with Technologies including OS–MS Windows, Server 2008/2012 and MS Windows 2007/2010; Hardware Platforms including HP Desktop and ProLiant Servers, Cisco Switches, Tablets and Smartphones; and Applications/Software including MS Office, McAfee Antivirus, Microsoft SCCM, Backup Exec, Ghost (or equivalent, and PGP disk encryption. Ability to resolve issues and isolate faults methodically, follow defined procedures and processes, deal with frequent change and unexpected events, demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, exhibit sound and accurate judgment and logical reasoning, show initiative and learn quickly with little supervision.  


REPORTER/DIGITAL JOURNALIST  – (Regular Full Time / Orlando): Provide original news content for WOFL, WOGX, and various social media platforms by successfully accomplishing the following: gather news information including; conducting live and taped interviews; write stories and deliver news reports on-air, on-line and other media platforms.  These platforms require the Digital Journalist to shoot and edit video and present material in an engaging manner.  Must contribute to social media efforts; initiate research, and enterprise stories.  Must be a self-starter, able to work independently, have outstanding time management skills and complete required assignments on deadline. Strong working knowledge of technical aspects of television news production required, including digital and web-based newsgathering tools and non-linear editing such as AVID.  A 4-year college degree is required with emphasis in Communications or Journalism and a minimum of three years’ experience preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license, must be able to meet driving requirements. Must be able to lift 40 pounds. 

PHOTOGRAPHER/EDITOR – (Regular Full Time / Orlando): Edit video for reporter and anchor packages, voice-overs and natural sound pieces for newscasts. Shoot and edit video and audio for newscasts, news programming, promotion and other station related purposes as needed and assigned. Operate ENG vehicles and equipment. Use good editorial and visual judgment. Create and add special effects to recorded pieces. Meet broadcast deadlines. BA in communications/journalism, or equivalent experience. A minimum of one year experience as an editor or photographer in a television station. Self-motivated, with good photography and editing skills. Working knowledge of P-2 camera systems, AVID edit systems, and lighting/sound equipment. Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.


LOCAL SALES ASSISTANT   – (Regular Full Time / Gainesville): Assist General Sales Manager and Local Account Executives with the scheduling, input, checking and revision of orders to accommodate client business. Work with Local Account Executives on client visit preparations, generating proposals, graphics and avails. Resolve customer service issues and inquiries such as credit memos and discrepancies. Perform general clerical duties including copying, faxing, and mailing. Maintenance of office supply inventory. Handle incoming phone calls and route appropriately. Computer literacy in Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel. Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational and time management skills. Prior knowledge of Wide Orbit and experience in the broadcast/advertising industry are considered a plus. This position is in our Gainesville office.

Description: Fox Television Stations Sales is seeking applicants for its Sales Training Program. The overall goal of the Training Program is to provide an internal pool of talent for future Account Executive positions within Fox Television Stations and Fox Stations Sales. Individuals must commit to a three-year program and must be geographically mobile. Assignments during and after completion of the program may be in any of the Fox Stations Sales offices or Stations located throughout the continental United States.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assumes responsibilities for the retention and application of knowledge imparted through the training sessions and supplemental development modules.  
  • To gain the knowledge and training required for the position of an Account Executive within the Fox organization.
  • Assumes responsibility for the accuracy and consistency of work assigned and for its completion within the time schedules determined by the Program Trainer.
  • Assumes responsibility for the understanding and retention of knowledge of all Company policies and procedures pertinent to this position and as an Employee of the Company.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Formal educational background.
  • Aggressive self-starter with excellent communication, computer and organizational skills.
  • Two-three years prior related work experience.
  • Must be geographically mobile within the continental United States.
  • Must be able to commit to a three-year program and sign a Personal Services Agreement for up to three years.
