He lives in Central Florida with his wife, Erica, their three children, and two equally energetic shepherds. He loves visiting local schools for FOX 35's Storm School series, and educating and teaching about weather in terms that are easy to understand, and meeting people in the community.
Garner also launched the FOX 35 Weather Spotters Network, where people at home can share their weather observations with the FOX 35 Storm Team. How much rain fell at your house? Is it sunny, cloudy, rainy, or stormy? Garner may include that info in an upcoming weather forecast.

Orlando weather: Weekend brings mix of clouds, sun across Central Florida with limited rain
The big weather story is the developing heat wave for next week in Central Florida. There's a 10% to 30% chance for quick afternoon showers over the next three days, then a 0% chance as the heat builds.
Orlando weather: 90-degree temps expected this week with rain, storms possible in Central Florida
Temperatures are gradually climbing toward the 90s by midweek across Central Florida, accompanied by the first chance of afternoon and evening showers or a storm, characteristic of the approaching rainy season.
Orlando weather: Near-record heat expected this weekend could lead to higher fire danger
We're on track for building heat this weekend, with near-record temps (but likely just below those levels.) Heat this time of year of this caliber is not terribly unusual but the first push of mid-90s always seems a bit of a shock when it arrives in April and May.
