Wife of UCF professor found dead in home arrested

The wife of a University of Central Florida faculty member, who was recently found dead under suspicious circumstances, was arrested Wednesday in an unrelated case.

Police say Danielle Redlick, 45, was picked up on a probation violation.

Back on January 12, investigators say her husband, Michael Redlick, 65, was found dead at their Winter Park home.

Police say on the same day they began investigating what happened to him, they learned Danielle Redlick had alcohol in her system. They say they later found she had vodka bottles in her possession.

Officers say that violated her probation on a Seminole County case from last year.  In that incident, deputies say Danielle Redlick got into a fight with a woman. They say when they tried restraining her, she proceeded to push, kick and bite the deputy and paramedics.

As she faces this new legal trouble, Winter Park police say the investigation into her husband’s death is ongoing.

From day one, officers have said they were not looking for any suspects and there was no danger to the community. They’ve have been tight lipped about how he died and who may have been involved.
