Man with military background on the run; suspected of shooting mother of his child

Investigators say a 34-year-old father shot the mother of his child at a Wesley Chapel apartment complex and then took off, possibly toward his home near Orlando.

Brian Wilson is being considered armed and dangerous after witnesses, possibly family members of Wilson or the victim, allegedly watched as he shot her.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to the Pasco Woods apartment complex in Wesley Chapel just before 6 p.m. Friday.

Wilson, who is from Windermere, allegedly shot the woman and then took off in his red Chevrolet Malibu LTZ, with a Florida tag LBFN06.

Wilson was described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall and having brown hair and eyes. Deputies said they are concerned about Wilson's military background, saying he may be more proficient with weapons than most.

Deputies suspect he's headed toward Orlando, near where he lives in Windermere. Anyone who sees him or his car should call 911 immediately.
