MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - The Brevard County Fire Rescue has responded to a small plane crash at the Merritt Island Airport.
According to tweets sent out by Fire Rescue, the small aircraft crashed into the water Saturday morning at 900 Airport Road. A boat was sent to bring the pilot to shore.

Officials said that no one else was on board the plane. The pilot is expected to survive.
