One dead, two injured after overnight Orlando shooting

Stunned neighbors reacted to the shooting on their quiet Orlando street.

“Boom, boom, boom!” said one, who declined to give her name, “They was loud, they was real loud.”

Police say two men in a truck shot three people near the intersection of Fish Court and Candlewyck Drive just after 4 a.m. on Sunday. One of the victims didn't survive. Another victim went to the hospital in critical condition, the third victim got shot in the leg and is listed in stable condition.

The Orlando Police Department later identified 21-year-old Raul J. Santiago as the victim in critical condition and 19-year-old Luis Orlando Colon-Baez as the deceased victim.

“It was about eight or nine shots,” said a neighbor, “they're in the gate you can see 'em. One here, another one there,” she pointed to the bullet holes.

Police hauled away a black sedan as evidence. People living here said this doesn't happen around here. “We live in a school zone, we don't have these problems here.”

Police are searching for the two suspects in the truck that did the shooting. They're asking anyone with information about the deadly attack to please call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS [8477].
