Over a dozen residents forced out of their Volusia County apartments

More than a dozen people are being forced out of their apartments in Volusia County. Code enforcement says the building is a safety hazard.

Officials say it's lights out on Thursday for more than 20 people at the complex in Flagler Beach. The property's owner says electrical issues are the result of Hurricane Matthew and Irma. The owner says that he has been trying to fix the problems, but has struggled to come up with the money.

Officials say that despite working with the property owner since August, the case will be presented to the code enforcement board at the November 21st meeting.
