One person is dead and another person is in critical condition after an early morning shooting in Orlando.

The Orlando Police Department says that around 1:25 a.m. on Wednesday, shots were fired. Two victims showed up at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. One victim did not survive, while the other is in critical condition.

The scene is still active, as the home on Hendren Drive is still roped off with police tape. Officers on scene told Fox 35 reporter Amanda McKenzie that they are interviewing potential witnesses.

McKenzie also spoke to the next door neighbor, who heard gunshots and called 911. "I took my kids and my daughter to the bathroom, but I heard gunshots, you know. Where they came from, I don't know. I just heard them so close to the house that I just got scared."

If you have any information on this shooting, please call the Orlando Police Department or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
