Kicks 4 Guns: Police collect your unwanted weapons with no questions asked

There's a big push to get guns off the streets of Central Florida and now you can turn your weapons in with no questions asked.

The Sanford Police Department and Lake Mary Police Department were set up in Seminole County on Tuesday morning to collect any unwanted weapons. And it's a simple process where you just stay in your car and officers will retrieve the weapon right form your vehicle. In return, you get a $50 gift card per weapon.

Police are hoping to surpass last year's count, which was near 36 firearms, including one that was stolen. But again, no questions are asked. That firearm was returned to its actual owner.

Both police departments will be set up until 7 p.m. on Tuesday to collect more firearms. There are about 12 locations participating.
