Mount Dora firefighters come to the rescue to help trapped ducklings

Mount Dora firefighters stepped in to help a mother duck rescue her babies.

Firefighters from Station 34 were called out to the Dogwood Mountain Reserve on Saturday in reference to a duck in distress.

That duck turned out to be worried about her ducklings, who were trapped in a storm drain.

Firefighters got to work and were able to rescue two of the ducklings.

They said there were two more that they couldn't rescue, but believe they made it down to the retention pond at the end of the drain.

The rescued babies and mom were happily reunited.
