The Orange County Sheriff's Office said a passenger in a car that was traveling along Interstate 4 was shot and killed Tuesday night, and police are now looking for possible suspects.

Deputies said the shooting happened between 6:45 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. on eastbound I-4 between Osceola Parkway and State Road 528, according to a news release. The driver told deputies that someone in another vehicle shot into their vehicle following some sort of altercation.

The man killed was identified as 53-year-old John-John Villafane. He was taken to Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips, where he died, authorities said.

Officials have not released details about the alleged shooter or vehicle, and are asking with information to contact Crimeline. "We urge anyone who saw anything on I-4 last night or knows anything about what happened to call Crimeline at 800-423-8477," the sheriff's office said in a statement.
