Solar Bears to televise three games on My65 Orlando

The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that the team has reached an agreement with Fox Television Stations to air three Solar Bears games on WRBW My65 Orlando during the 2017-18 season.

Broadcast coverage will begin Saturday, Dec. 23, when the Solar Bears host the Norfolk Admirals at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center at 7 p.m.

WOFL Fox-35 and WRBW My65 Orlando Vice President and General Manager Allyson Meyers said, “Over the past few years, we have enjoyed our partnership with the Orlando Magic, and now we are excited to form a relationship with their newest acquisition, the Orlando Solar Bears. We look forward to expanding our dedication to sports coverage with this foray into hockey.”

The broadcasts will be produced by GemStone Media Inc. (gemstonemediainc.com); GemStone Media Inc. Vice President/Co-Owner George Birnbaum stated, “Gemstone Media is pleased to partner with the Orlando Solar Bears. We are excited to lend our decades of live sports production expertise to the organization.”

Play-by-play duties will be handled by Solar Bears Director of Communications & Broadcasting Jesse Liebman, now in his third season with the organization; former Solar Bears defenseman and captain Eric Baier will join Liebman in the booth providing color commentary.

The following Solar Bears games will be broadcast on WRBW My65 Orlando during the 2017-18 season (broadcast schedule, game dates and times subject to change):

Saturday, Dec. 23 vs. Norfolk Admirals – 7 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 20 vs. Florida Everblades – 7 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 17 vs. Worcester Railers – 7 p.m.
