Pride Win Home Debut 3-1

The Orlando Pride won its National Women's Soccer League(NWSL) home opener in the Citrus Bowl 3-1 against the Houston Dash Saturday night in front of an NWSL record crowd of 23,403 fans.

Alex Morgan scored the third and final goal for Orlando off a pass from Australian Steph Catley in the 61st minute.  English star Lianne Sanderson scored on a spectacular free kick when the Dash goalkeeper was not ready in the 56th minute. The first goal of the match came in the 46th minute, an own goal off a cross from Morgan.

The only thing keeping the evening from being completely perfect was a late Houston goal, but Pride goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris had a teriffic night in net.

The Pride improve to 1-1 this season.
