NFL Draft: Jags, Bucs and Fins all pick early; could be big night for Gators

  • Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray of the Oklahoma Sooners is the first pick of the NFL draft, going to the Arizona Cardinals.
  • Inside lineman Devin White of LSU is the fifth pick of the NFL draft, going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
  • Outside lineman Josh Allen from the Kentucky Wildcats is the seventh pick of the NFL draft, going to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
  • Defensive Tackle Christian Wilkins from Clemson is the thirteenth pick of the NFL draft, going to the Miami Dolphins.
  • Outside lineman Brian Burns of FSU is the sixteenth pick of the NFL draft, going to the Carolina Panthers.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Jags and Bucs will make their first round selections in the top 10, and the Dolphins aren't far behind at 13, meaning Thursday's first round carries a lot of weight for each franchise.

Meanwhile, Thursday night could be exciting for Gators fans, as Cocoa H.S. products Jawaan Taylor and Chauncey Gardner-Johnson may also hear their names called.  Taylor is seen by many as a top 10 pick.

FSU DE Brian Burns could also go inside the top 10. 

UCF has several players who are hoping to be selected this weekend as well, however none are projected as day one picks.  The first name likely to be called is DL Trysten Hill, who many think could go as high as the third round.
