Huskies Race Past Knights

STORRS, Conn. (UCFKnights.com) - UCF men’s basketball closed out the 2015-16 regular season with a road loss to perennial powerhouse UConn on Sunday afternoon, 67-46.

The Knights shot just 31 percent in the first half but still managed to keep the Huskies within striking distance, trailing by just six at the break.

Midway through the second half things fell apart for UCF, committing turnovers and allowing UConn to generate easy buckets in transition. The Black & Gold had nine turnovers in the second half, which led to 16 baskets for the Huskies.
 
Freshman Tacko Fall led all scorers with 13 points, recording his third consecutive double-figure game.

-  Fall extended his streak of games with at least one block to 14.
-  The freshman now has 67 on the season, which is eight away from surpassing John Friday (74, 1986-87) for UCF's single-season record.

NEXT UP
-  Records go out the window as the American Athletic Conference Tournament begins Thursday, Mar. 10 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. UCF is slated to take on Tulane at 6 p.m. on Thursday. The winner advances to play Houston on Friday.
