Buccaneers sign DT A.J. Francis, waive DT Davon Coleman

- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they have signed defensive tackle A.J. Francis and have waived defensive tackle Davon Coleman.

Francis (6-5, 330) originally entered the league with the Miami Dolphins in 2013, as a college free agent out of Maryland. The Washington, D.C. native spent the 2013 preseason with Miami, before being signed to the New England Patriots’ practice squad. The Dolphins signed Francis to their active roster later that season. The Dolphins waived Francis during the 2015 season and he spent the remainder of the year with the Seattle Seahawks, seeing time on both the practice squad and active roster.

In his career, Francis has played in three career games, registering two tackles. He will wear No. 70 for Tampa Bay.
