Aaron Gordon wows fans at the NBA Slam Dunk Contest

Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon may not have won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest Saturday night, but he certainly succeeded in capturing an audience.  The second year pro from the University of Arizona got some big time exposure for himself, the Magic, and even Stuff the Mascot Dragon.

Despite some spectacular dunks, including one that fans are dubbing "Chair Jordan", Zach LaVine of the Minnesota Timberwolves narrowly edged out Gordon in a dunk off in the finals.

Still, NBA and sports fans were mesmerized by the high flying jams.  One Magic official told FOX35's Adam Shadoff that Gordon had been putting in a lot of practice time in the lead up to the event in Toronto.

"I knew that I wanted to do that because it hadn't been done in an NBA dunk contest," said Aaron Gordon.  "I think all four of my initial dunks had never been done in an NBA dunk contest and so that was my goal and I did it

Now even casual fans are well aware of the rising star who might see a little uptick in his jersey sales.
