There's now a new way to feel like you are in a developing country without leaving Central Florida.
Diving deep into a world that most Americans have never experienced, the "Compassion Experience' gives an eye-opening glimpse of life in third-world environments.
Colleen Wallace of the Compassion Experience says that it shows "people what it's like in other countries, so that they would feel the desire to want to change another child's life."
The massive traveling exhibit features an interactive journey through the stories of people living in developing countries. You are given a headset and an iPod to go on a self-guided tour, hearing a child tell you their real-life personal story of poverty.
Wallace went on to speak of the experience, saying that "a huge team of people came together to make it look as much as possible like those countries, so it really is like you're going to that country."
It is truly a one-of-a-kind, fully-immersive experience exposing American families to the challenging reality of life for billions of people around the world.
