A Navy vet in need got a particularly special Christmas gift this year – thanks to the kindness of others.

Josh Lambert suffered a stroke two years ago while on duty in Japan and is still undergoing medical treatment.

On Saturday, The Lambert family received a early Christmas present – in the form a 2017 Hyundai Sonata.

DC non-profit Luke's Wings was able to help Josh and his family with the almost new set of wheels.

The car was fixed up for the Lamberts thanks to workers at Caliber Collision in Bethesda.

There were even some toys for Lambert's kids in the trunk!

"Everyone that put in an ounce of sweat into this car – we can't thank you guys enough," Lambert said. "You now have a deep part in our hearts and we'll never forget you guys. Thank you."

Luke's Wings relies on donations to help wounded, ill and injured service members. The organization also provides families with the means to visit their loved ones during recovery and rehabilitation.
