HOUSTON, Tex. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Jaguar cubs have made their public debut at the Houston Zoo.
The male, Fitz, and the female, Emma, were born on July 20th and have spent the past few months bonding with their mom, Maya, behind the scenes.
Fitz and Emma are the first jaguars born at the Houston Zoo in 12 years.
The International Union of Conservation of Nature considers jaguars near threatened. Their numbers continue to decline mostly due to habitat loss.
