Rare bear ‘Beanie Baby' could fetch $90K

If you grew up in the 90s or had children then, you'll surely remember ‘Beanie Babies' with their heart-shaped "ty" tags.

Thinking they would become collector's items, you scooped them up. But, eventually the fad died down and your ‘Beanie Babies' began to collect dust.

However, now might just be the time to dust those bean bag, plush toys off.

A couple in the United Kingdom bought a secondhand beanie that might have a big payoff.

People.com reports one could be worth $90,000.

[It turns out the bear is one of a range of just 100 "first edition" Babies established to honor Princess Diana after her 1997 death. The bear, called Princess, was handmade in Indonesia in 2007 with special pellets and a tag that features a poem and reference to the Princess of Wales Memorial Fund.]
